Kathmandu is a Nepalese Restaurant in the heart of Dalkey Village, serving healthy and nutritious authentic Nepalese food. Kathmandu is also the capital of Nepal. Nepal is a country of Buddha and Mt. Everest sandwiched between two giant countries China and India. Although Nepal is small in size, she has wide range of food, culture and natural diversity.
We have mastered the art of carefully blending herbs and spices to give one's taste buds the best food experience in relaxed and cosy atmosphere serving by our friendly, pleasant and attentive staff.
Nepalese cooking is very exciting and bursts with natural colours smell and wonderful flavour. Fresh herbs and spices are the key ingredients and used extensively in our recipes. The main spices used are green chilli cumin, fenugreek, kasoori methi, curry leaves, cardamom, coriander leaves and seeds, turmeric, and garam masala. All our recipes are original and homemade, with all tastes in mind. There is a good balance of mild and hot dishes from the many regions of Nepal; some old reliable are too, but with Kathmandu restaurant twist!!!
We only use the freshest ingredients. Absolutely no preservatives, additives, colourings, third party sauces or ingredients are used in our cooking. We promise you our food is 100% natural.
*Our spices are sourced from highland of Nepal & freshly grounded daily at our restaurant. Even yogurt that we use in our sauces and dips are homemade on the premises. Our chicken is 100% pure breast, sourced from HACCP (Hygiene Analysis Critical Control Points) approved vendors. Our meats are premium quality and sourced from HACCP approved vendors. Our food is cooked to your taste, you definitely can taste the difference.*
